1. Why do I need an assessment before booking a stay for my dog?

We require an assessment to ensure that your dog is a good fit for our facilities and services. This allows us to evaluate their temperament, health needs, and any special requirements to provide the best care possible during their stay.

2. How do I schedule the assessment for my dog?

To schedule an assessment, simply contact us via whatsapp. Our team will arrange a convenient time for you to bring your dog in for a brief evaluation.

3. What does the assessment involve?

The assessment is a short, stress-free visit where we observe your dog’s behavior, health, and temperament. This helps us understand their needs and ensure that they will be comfortable during their stay. The evaluation typically includes a brief meet-and-greet, a tour of our facilities, and some basic interaction with our team.

4. Is the assessment mandatory for every dog?

Yes, the assessment is required for all first-time visitors to our hotel. It ensures we can tailor our services to meet the needs of your dog and prevent any issues during their stay.

5. How long does the assessment take?

The assessment usually takes about 15-30 minutes, depending on your dog’s comfort level and how long it takes to gather the necessary information.

6. What do I need to bring to the assessment?

Please bring your dog’s vaccination records, a leash, and any relevant health information. If your dog has specific needs or preferences (e.g., dietary restrictions, medications, or special care instructions), please let us know.

7. What happens if my dog doesn’t pass the assessment?

If your dog doesn’t pass the assessment, we’ll work with you to find the best solution. This may include recommending training, adjusting their stay type (e.g., daycare instead of overnight), or suggesting alternative facilities that may better suit their needs.

8. Can I book a stay right after the assessment?

If the assessment goes smoothly and we determine your dog is a good fit for our hotel, you’ll be able to proceed with booking their stay. However, we may suggest waiting for any follow-up appointments if additional information is required.

1. Why do I need an assessment before booking a stay for my dog?

We require an assessment to ensure that your dog is a good fit for our facilities and services. This allows us to evaluate their temperament, health needs, and any special requirements to provide the best care possible during their stay.

9. How far in advance should I book the assessment?

We recommend scheduling your assessment at least 1-2 weeks in advance to ensure we have availability. During busy seasons, it's a good idea to plan ahead.

10. Do you offer any special accommodations for dogs with medical or behavioural needs?

Yes, we offer tailored accommodations for dogs with special medical or behavioural needs. During the assessment, we’ll discuss any such requirements and make sure we can provide the necessary care.

11. Can I visit the hotel before the assessment?

We prefer not to schedule visits before the assessment, as frequent visits to the facility can cause stress for our dog guests. The assessment is designed to give us the opportunity to meet with you and your dog in a calm, comfortable environment, ensuring the best experience for everyone.

12. What is your emergency protocol?

In the unlikely event of an emergency, we take the safety and health of your dog very seriously. Our trained nannies are equipped to handle minor medical issues, and we have an established protocol in place. If your dog requires immediate medical attention:

We will contact you or your emergency contact right away.

If necessary, we will transport your dog to a nearby veterinary clinic.

We work with a trusted network of local veterinarians

All nannies are trained in basic pet first aid, and we regularly update our procedures to ensure your dog’s safety.

Rest assured, we’re fully prepared to manage any situation that may arise and will always keep you informed about your dog’s well-being.

13. What is your policy on dogs with ticks, fleas, or health concerns?

For the safety and well-being of all our guests, we cannot accept dogs that have ticks, fleas, are sick, or show aggressive behaviour. Ensuring a healthy and comfortable environment for all dogs is our top priority. If your dog requires treatment for any of these issues, we ask that you address them before booking a stay.

14. What are the risks of free-roam facilities?

While free-roam areas can be great for socialization and exercise, there are some risks to consider:

Injury: Just like at a playground for children, there’s a chance that dogs can accidentally get injured during active play or interactions with other dogs.

Contagious illnesses: Free-roam environments can expose dogs to contagious diseases, like kennel cough or parasites, especially if vaccination schedules are not up-to-date.

We take the safety and health of your dog very seriously and have strict Standard Operating Procedures in place to manage these risks. Our nannies are trained to monitor playtime closely, ensure proper sanitation, and enforce health screening for all dogs.

15. Are small dogs separated from big dogs?

Yes, we ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests by keeping small dogs in a separate area from larger dogs. This helps create a calm and secure environment for all.

16. Do you accept senior dogs?

We do accept senior dogs, as long as they are in good health. Senior dogs will be placed in the small dog area to ensure they have a quiet and peaceful space to relax.

17. Do you accept dogs with special care needs?

Yes, we do accept dogs that require special care. This includes services such as daily wound cleaning, teeth and eye cleaning, as well as administering complex medication like injections. Please note that there may be an additional surcharge for these services. Kindly inform us of any special care needs during the assessment so we can ensure the best possible care for your dog.

18. Will I receive updates on my dog?

Yes! We provide frequent updates on your dog’s stay via WhatsApp, including photos and videos so you can see how they’re doing. Feel free to reach out at any time, and we will respond as quickly as we can.

19. Why can't I get refunded for last-minute cancellations or early checkouts?

We have a strict no-refund policy for last-minute cancellations or early checkouts due to the nature of our booking system and commitment to ensuring each guest has a reserved spot. When a booking is made, we hold space specifically for your dog, and cancellations or early departures impact our ability to accommodate other pets. Our policy is in place to maintain fairness to all pet parents and to continue providing the highest level of care and services to our guests. We always recommend giving as much notice as possible to help with scheduling changes.

20. Why is there a surcharge for checking in late or checking out early?

Yes, there is a surcharge for check-ins that occur outside of our designated check-in hours or for early checkouts. Our standard check-in and check-out times are set to ensure smooth operations and adequate time for staff to prepare for each guest. Any arrivals or departures outside of these hours may incur an additional fee to cover the extra staffing and operational adjustments required. We encourage pet parents to adhere to our check-in and check-out times to avoid these extra charges.

21. Why can't I pick up my dog after your closing hours, even when you have nannies inside?

For the safety and well-being of all our guests, we have a strict policy regarding pick-up times. After our closing hours, our team’s primary focus is on ensuring that all dogs are settled for the night and receiving the appropriate care and attention. While we do have nannies available, we do not have the same level of staffing during off-hours to ensure a smooth, safe, and secure pick-up. This policy helps maintain a calm and organized environment, preventing any disruption to the dogs’ routine and minimizing stress. We kindly ask that all pick-ups be made during our designated hours to ensure the best experience for both you and your dog.

22. What is the procedure for pick-up and drop-off?

When picking up or dropping off your dog, please park appropriately within the designated parking spaces. We only have two spots, so kindly make it quick and be considerate of other clients. To minimize commotion, we kindly ask that you meet us at the main door, where our nannies will greet you. Please allow us to take your dog and their belongings at the door, and then we kindly request that you quickly say your goodbyes and leave. This helps reduce any anxiety for your dog and ensures a calm environment for all the guests. We appreciate your cooperation!

23. Can I visit my dog while they’re staying at Fetch Me Later?

For the comfort and well-being of all our guests, we do not allow visits during a dog’s stay. Frequent visits can cause stress and anxiety for both your dog and the other guests. We believe that maintaining a calm and consistent environment helps your dog settle in and enjoy their time with us.
